ETNA Software as an innovative company thrives for cutting-edge technology and therefore kicked-off first ETNA Hack Day. It took place July 4 in company development centers. The idea of the event was to develop projects by groups of programmers in only 8 hours. Each group had to generate an idea, develop a solution, and make a public presentation. 

Because ETNA is focused on financial solutions and trading software development, everyone was focused on financail services. After assembling teams and choosing names, the competition began. It took 8 hours of creativity and brainstorming, which demonstrated genuine teamwork. Previously selected via a corporate poll, the team of 7 chosen jurors assessed the results. The projects were evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: idea, technical implementation, and the quality of presentation. Here is the list of winners:

1st Place: “D'EASY Trader” – a beautiful game emulating the trading process with a forecasting wizard.

2nd Place: “FELDA – Financial Expression Language Demo Application” – a powerful tool translating financial sentences into executable trading strategy code.

3rd Place: “Touch The Trade” – a simple yet cutting-edge trading application integrated with Facebook.
